Portable slams Iyabo Ojo over single mother praise, calls her bad example

Controversial singer Portable has once again set social media ablaze after launching a heated verbal attack on Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo over her recent comments praising single mothers.

The drama began after Iyabo Ojo, fondly called Queen Mother by fans, made remarks suggesting that single mothers are thriving and doing well despite societal pressures.

While many applauded her message as empowering and supportive, it clearly did not sit well with the Zazu crooner, Portable.

In a viral rant that has since spread across multiple platforms, the singer strongly criticised the actress, describing her statement as misleading and a “bad example” for younger women.

“Which advice do you even want to give to the younger ones getting married? That they should be giving birth for different men? One child for one man, three children for three different men?” he asked.

He further claimed that married women are doing better than single mothers, insisting that men often take advantage of single mothers financially.

According to him, such narratives encourage unhealthy family structures and send the wrong message to children preparing for marriage.

Portable’s remarks, delivered in blunt vernacular and with bold claims, immediately triggered outrage online.

Reactions have been sharply divided. While some echoed his views on the potential negative impact on the younger generation, many others condemned the singer’s comments as disrespectful and deeply insensitive.
