According to statements released on social media, Mr Jollof described the incident as out of character and emphasized that he was only defending himself during the encounter.

He expressed remorse to his family, stating that he regrets the incident and promising it will not happen again.

Jollof claims Verydarkman started it

Mr Jollof alleged that Verydarkman had been the one who initiated the fight, despite ignoring him when he threw an insult at him.

The entertainer also noted that he normally advises staying calm when provoked, highlighting that this incident was an exception to his usual approach.

“I was only defending myself. It was unlike me. And to my lovely wife, I know you are proud of me baby. No be by muscle. And to my kids, I’m sorry. Daddy will never do this again…he boarded last. He was looking at me eyeball to eyeball and I ignored. I been keep my cool because na me dey always preach when people use words against you, make you keep your cool.”
