Pastor E.A. Adeboye explains why he no longer has a female secretary

Pastor E.A. Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has disclosed the reason behind his decision to no longer have female secretaries.

The pastor opened up on this while speaking with his congregants.

The pastor made the decision after realizing that his work often extends late into the night. Concerned about potential risks of being alone with members of the opposite gender during these hours, he opted to employ only male secretaries for his late-night duties.

Pastor Adeboye reportedly clarified that the decision is a personal precaution and not intended as gender discrimination.

He also acknowledged the contributions of his previous female secretaries, describing them as dedicated and exemplary in their roles during his earlier ministry years.

“From the moment I got to a stage where at night I still have to work, I cease to have a female secretary. Some people think it is gender discrimination. I know myself. I know who I was before Jesus saved my soul. I know the possibility of dangers, being left alone. At night, with people of the opposite sex. Oh, but if you were to get a secretary like the last one I had, she was a wonderful child of God. She saved a very wonderful child of God. She was my secretary at Ebute Meta. Wonderful lady. True child of the living God. And when I got here, I know I will see you in the office at 3 a.m. Now can we imagine, after a long day work, everybody finally we have seen the last visitor. And then my secretary comes and says, At 2 a.m., we are through now, sir. Is there any way I can help you? You know, a cup of tea to relax. At 2 a.m., Jonah…”
