A mother took to a Facebook group to ask for advice on how to make her beautiful dark-skinned baby have a lighter skin.

The new mum shared a photo of her adorable daughter then told group members: “Pls this is my baby. What can I use to make her lighter a bit?”

A screenshot of the mum’s post has been shared around Facebook and has started a conversation about colourism and bleaching.
