During the event, Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki announced that the 6,000-capacity arena would be named ‘Rema Dome’ in recognition of the artist’s significant contributions to promoting Edo State globally.

Hailing from Benin City, the ward-winning singer has consistently celebrated his Edo roots through his music.
As a proud ambassador of Edo State, Rema has been instrumental in promoting the cultural legacy of the ancient Benin Kingdom on both national and international stages.

His latest hit single, ‘Benin Boys,’ featuring fellow Edo-born artist Shallipopi, pays tribute to his hometown.
