Her comments came after podcast host Korty EO questioned why some public figures continue to back the current administration despite Nigeria’s ongoing economic difficulties and security concerns. Korty pointed out that many citizens are grappling with rising poverty and insecurity, while certain celebrities still openly align themselves with the government.

She also raised concerns about whether financial incentives might be influencing such support, especially as the country’s middle class continues to feel the strain of the situation.
Reacting, Vee acknowledged that while some celebrities may have personal interests tied to their stance, others genuinely believe the president is performing well an opinion she strongly disagrees with. She suggested that fame does not necessarily equate to sound judgment or intelligence.

According to her, some individuals backing the government may not be doing so for gain but out of genuine belief, which she finds surprising. She added that popularity should not be mistaken for wisdom.
