“Nollywood is a d@nger zone for young girls” – Actress, Regina Daniels shares as she thanks mum for protecting her

Regina Daniels, a popular Nollywood actress, asserts that the Nigerian movie industry is a risky place for young ladies.

In a video she posted on her Instagram page, the mother of two made this claim while discussing her recent interaction with a 14-year-old makeup artist she met on a set.

She claims that after talking to the little girl, the 14-year-old admitted to regularly spending the nights in various people’s hotel rooms, some of whom take advantage of her.

Since Regina had entered the profession as a young girl and is aware of the risks it poses to children, she expressed her deep worry for the little girl.

Regina, who termed Nollywood a “danger zone,” described how, while she was a youngster working there, Rita Daniels and her mother protected her from being sexually abused by producers.

She claimed that after hearing about the girl’s situation, she decided to enroll her in a boarding school in Delta State and was shocked by the results of the entrance exam.

Regina criticized her colleagues for previously turning a blind eye to the girl and begged them not to do the same moving forward.

She added that she has promised to fight any film director who uses young children as extras in their productions.

Sharing the video on her Instagram page, she wrote,
