Many people in Owerri, Imo State, are in shock over a terrible event in which a woman allegedly beat her housemaid to death for watching television with her kids.
The unnamed woman was captured by neighbors following the event, according to a video posted on Facebook by journalist Nonsonkwa Ochi Kwu.

The neighbors, who were clearly angry confronted her and called her a “wicked and vile woman.” In the widely shared video, the suspect—who is also a nursing mother—was encircled by irate locals calling for justice for the housemaid who had died.

According to incident details, the little maid was beaten severely until she died after she was accused of punishing her for watching TV with the woman’s kids.
Many Nigerians have expressed their shock and demanded justice for the young child after seeing the terrible footage, which has drawn global attention.

Although the police have not yet issued an official statement on the incident, social media users have been calling for the suspect’s prompt arrest and conviction. Concerns regarding the mistreatment and abuse of that housekeepers in Nigeria have persisted as a result of this case and numerous others.
