A Nigerian lawyer, Inibehe Effiong has criticised actress Nkechi Blessing following her revelation that she had a gymgoer arrested for allegedly taking her photo without consent.

Earlier, it was reported that the actress revealed that she had the lady who secretly took a photo of her arrested.

Lawyer reacts Nkechi’s disclosure

The lawyer questioned why a public figure would involve the police over a picture taken in a public space, describing the incident as another example of misplaced priorities in the country.

He expressed disappointment in the police for acting on the matter, arguing that the force continues to embarrass itself by responding to such complaints.

The criticism comes after Nkechi Blessing emotionally recounted how she confronted and arrested the individual who snapped her at the gym, an incident she said violated her privacy.

We are so unserious in this country.
