A Nigerian woman recently sparked emotional responses on social media after she disclosed that her boyfriend ended their relationship because of an incompatible genotype after a medical test.
She revealed photos of her mental state, including one in which she can be seen crying upon her separation, in a touching TikTok post.
Alongside the images, she issued a warning to women, captioning it, “Girl to girl, before you start any relationship, please know your partner’s genotype.”
She also posted a screenshot of her boyfriend’s final message to her, which read: “Hi, how are you? I’m sorry for the silence; I had no choice. Remember the day we went for the test? If we continue, it might just waste your time, and you’re not getting any younger.”
“Our genotypes aren’t compatible; we’re both AS, which means we can’t marry each other. I’m sorry, but I need to make this adjustment. I’ll still fulfill my promise.”
Her post quickly attracted a wave of sympathy and support, with many people leaving comments to express their thoughts and offer words of comfort.
