Popular Nigerian singer Kizz Daniel has sparked a wave of conversation after revealing that he still lives like a poor man, despite his massive success in the music industry.

The ‘Buga’ crooner made the surprising revelation while engaging fans on social media about the often-misunderstood relationship between wealth and happiness. It all began with a thought-provoking post in which he questioned why happiness seems to fade when money comes.
“Why when money comes, happiness dey always comot?” he asked, reflecting on the emotional emptiness that can accompany material wealth. He further noted that many rich people still live in sadness despite their affluence.

His statement triggered reactions, including one from a netizen who accused him of hypocrisy for chasing money while claiming it doesn’t bring happiness. In response, Kizz Daniel clarified that he no longer chases wealth — in fact, money chases him.

“Lol … I still live like a poor man every day. Na money dey chase me instead,” he replied.
Kizz Daniel went on to share that while he’s not discouraging people from working hard, he believes it’s important to understand that wealth doesn’t automatically guarantee happiness.
