The Federal Capital Territory High Court in Abuja has reportedly received a divorce petition from Nigerian football player Kayode Olanrenwaju’s estranged wife, Dora Ezinne.
The football player from Europe, who is also fighting for custody of their children, requested a ₦1 billion damages award from the court against Tobi Adegboyega, a UK pastor, for the emotional distress, financial loss, and damaged relationship caused by his “adulterous affair” with Ezinne.
It’s important to remember that Olarenwaju and Ezinne have clashed over a variety of topics, including adultery allegations. When Ezinne sued her ex-husband, things took a different turn.
Olarenwaju’s cross-petition designates the pastor who lives in the UK as the Co-Respondent and Ezinne as the Respondent.
The Super Eagles striker further stated in his cross-petition that his divorced wife had abducted their kids, who had subsequently been rescued by Department of State Services officials.
The Respondent then instructed his attorney to file a petition with the DSS on behalf of the marriage’s abducted children. Olanrewaju also claimed that his divorced wife was sabotaging their joint business endeavors.
A hearing on this issue has been scheduled for September 24, 2024.
