“I was late, so the airline called and told me…” – Lady narrates shocking Kano airport experience

A Nigerian lady has sparked reactions online after sharing a surprising airport experience involving Air Peace, which reportedly waited for her despite arriving late for her flight in Kano.

In a video shared on X (formerly Twitter) by @honest30bgfan, she explained that she was about 11 minutes away from the airport when she received a call from the airline asking about her location and estimated arrival time.

In her words, she said:

“So I was running late, like 11 minutes away from the airport, and my phone rang. Guess what? Air Peace in Kano called me. Said, where are you? I told them that I’m coming, I’m running late. And they said, take your time, we are waiting for you.”

She expressed shock at the rare gesture, noting that despite her experience with international and private flights, she had never been contacted or accommodated in such a manner before.

Using the moment as a broader reflection, she encouraged Nigerians to explore other parts of the country, stressing that opportunities and experiences can vary depending on location.

“Sometimes, leave your environment, leave your Lagos, leave your Abuja. Travel around. Things happen differently in other places in Nigeria,” she added.
