Popular Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage revealed that legendary rapper and YBNL leader Olamide declined an astounding N100 million she offered him for a verse in a song.
It’s important to remember that Olamide and producer Mystro Sugar collaborated on Tiwa Savage’s blockbuster song “Commona.” The song is from Tiwa’s “Water & Garri” album, which was released in May 2024 along with her eponymous debut film.
However, Tiwa Savage alleged that Badoo sang the song verse for free as he did not collect any dime for the track. According to the ‘Stamina’ crooner, Olamide rejected the money and decided to make the song for free because he knows how difficult it is to make it in the entertainment industry as a woman.
The revelation was shared on the X app (Formerly Twitter) as it reads, “Olamide rejected the 100Million I gave him for a verse.”
“I was talking to his management, I didn’t want to talk to him directly cus he will want to do it for free . Spoke to his team and they charged 100m . I was willing to pay.”
“When Olamide asked them who the artiste was , they said me and he just said NO . He won’t take it . He said I am his sister and he knows how difficult it is to make it in the industry as a woman . That’s how he denied and guess what ? He gave me the verse for Free . Good people exist and Baddo is one”.
