After being caught, Rasheed, a self-described beggar, admitted to using the money he received from begging for rituals.
Rasheed, who was apprehended by Oyo State police, revealed a kingpin named Abdulsaleem who assigns him to the assignments.
Rasheed said that his organisation had locations in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State, at Neolife, Iwo Road, Lagos, Oyo, and Ogun States.
The ceremonies were purported to be for fame and wealth. The suspect claims that he received N18,000 for each outing, with the victims allegedly getting unwell later and eventually passing away.
The benefactors of the rituals, who rise in popularity and fortune, are said to experience the opposite. He addressed the law enforcement in Yoruba.
