“Later this month, 27th August 2025, I would be leading my brethren in the Kiri medium prison in a Hallelujah Challenge Praise and Worship special session. This is my heart’s desire for my birthday. We’ll praise, eat together and afterwards give out some scholarships,” Bassey shared.
The event will feature vibrant praise and worship, distribution of food, and the awarding of scholarships to select inmates.

Bassey referenced Acts 16:25-26, where Paul and Silas praised God in prison, leading to a miraculous liberation. He believes this modern-day session will echo that spiritual breakthrough, ushering in “liberty of the spirit and massive harvests of souls.”
Due to security reasons, the event may not be streamed live, but the singer urged followers to join in spirit and prayer. He also reminded fans that the regular Hallelujah Challenge is scheduled to return in October 2025.
