Geh Geh criticizes Wizkid over failure to support Carter Efe, despite singing Machala to honour him

Popular financial commentator and influencer Geh Geh has taken a swipe at Afrobeats star Wizkid, accusing him of failing to support comedian and streamer Carter Efe despite the success of the hit fan song Machala.

Speaking in a viral video following Carter Efe’s record-breaking Twitch livestream featuring Davido, Geh Geh argued that the moment showed the importance of established artists uplifting emerging talents.

According to him, when someone refuses to help despite having the capacity to do so, another person will ultimately step in to fill that role.

Geh Geh maintained that Machala remains one of the most impactful fan-made songs in Afrobeats history, stressing that it was created to celebrate and honour Wizkid. He expressed disappointment that, despite the song’s popularity, Wizkid did not publicly show support or acknowledge Carter Efe.

The influencer dismissed claims that Wizkid’s silence should be interpreted as humility or personal choice, instead describing it as an unwillingness to share influence and platform.
