“Funke Akindele paid me N190K, not N90K” – Ijoba Lande pleads

Controversial Nollywood actor Ganiyu Kehinde Morufu, popularly known as Ijoba Lande, has retracted his earlier statement that actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele  paid him an insufficient ₦90,000 for a month’s work on her movie set.

This came following backlashes trailing his claim of beingpaid a ‘chicken-change’ after working with the Box Office-rated actress.

In a follow-up video released on Friday, Lande clarified that he actually received ₦190,000, not ₦90,000, claiming that the initial video where he made the statement was poorly edited, leading to the mix-up.

Speaking in Yoruba, the actor pleaded with Akindele to forgive him, emphasizing that it was never his intention to defame me.

“Funke Akindele gave me ₦190,000, not ₦90,000. Please help me beg Aunty Funke. The video was cut and joined, which led to the mistake. People only shared the part where I misspoke and not where I corrected myself. Please, forgive me. I don’t want to go to jail,” he pleaded.

Captioning the video, he added, “Make God no let my mouth put me for big trouble oooh. I know mean it this way oooh pls help me beg @funkejenifaakindele pls I’m very sorry mama I didn’t mean it this way pls forgive me mama.”
