In a video circulating widely on social media, the singer, whose real name is Abolore Akande, was seen attempting to greet Governor Makinde as they crossed paths along a walkway.

Spotting the governor, 9ice respectfully went down in a traditional Yoruba greeting gesture by prostrating, but was abruptly pushed back by one of the governor’s security aides.
