Popular Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has reportedly been arrested by operatives of the Nigeria Police Force Cybercrime Centre over an alleged cybercrime case linked to her colleague, Mercy Johnson.

The development was disclosed by Nigerian filmmaker Seun Oloketuyi via his Instagram page. According to the report, the actress was arrested at her residence in Lagos.

Following her arrest, Angela Okorie was taken to Yaba Panti, where she reportedly spent the night due to the unavailability of a flight to Abuja at the time. She was later flown to the Federal Capital Territory early the next morning.

The development comes after years of public tension between both actresses.

Angela Okorie and Mercy Johnson have been involved in repeated online clashes, with accusations and counterclaims shared on social media platforms.

At different times, Angela had spoken about feeling hurt and reacting from emotional pain.

Sources say the actress is expected to appear in court in Abuja in connection with the cybercrime allegations involving Mercy Johnson.
