Nigerian actor Adeniyi Johnson has spoken out about his suspension from the African Men Entertainment Kings (AFRIMEK), a club recognized for its prominent members in the entertainment field.
The club announced his suspension on Instagram on Saturday, claiming he engaged in misconduct and violated their rules.
“ADENIYI JOHNSON is hereby suspended indefinitely from the club (AFRIMEK). He has no right to portray himself as a member and is stopped from participating in any club activities. This decision is borne out of his gross misconduct and breach of the club’s constitution.”
Adeniyi Johnson shared his feelings on Instagram on Sunday, showing his disappointment and worry about the allegations. He asked his fans to stay calm as he handles the matter.
Adeniyi Johnson wrote:
“It saddens my heart that my honourable club made such a derogatory post about me!! Please note that I am not bigger than the club, but before the club there has been Adeniyi Johnson. If care isn’t taken, that post will do more harm than good
“I feel this is detrimental to my name, my family, standard, and even upbringing— more importantly, my brand.
“I hereby implore my family, friends, and teeming fans to stay calm and continue to show unwavering love and support!!!
“To all associates, I remain my humble self and thanks for the continuous belief and trust!! God pass us all!!”
Before his suspension, Adeniyi was the Public Relations Officer for AFRIMEK.
AFRIMEK has well-known members like Femi Adebayo, Ibrahim Chatta, Muyiwa Ademola, Odunlade Adekola, and Jamiu Azeez Olamilekan.
