Veteran entertainer and activist, Charly Boy, has shared a humorous story about a past visit from former Anambra State governor and Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi.

He made this known while speaking on the KAA Truths podcast.

According to Charly Boy, Obi once came to his house carrying a large ‘Ghana Must Go’ bag, which initially made him suspicious about its contents.

He admitted that seeing the bag triggered thoughts that it might contain money, even though he insisted he already supported Obi’s vision and did not need to be influenced.

However, his assumptions were quickly dispelled when Obi revealed the contents of the bag before leaving. Charly Boy said he was surprised to find that the bag was filled with garden eggs and kola nuts, rather than money.

“Peter came to my house one day and brought one ‘Ghana Must Go’ bag. I was thinking to myself, ‘this man one disgrace himself?’ when I saw the big Ghana Must Go bag, my brain come dey do different calculations about wetin fit dey inside the bag, abi him wan br!be me? But him no need to br!be me because I was already in love with his vision. When him come dey go, him come say ‘I bring some small thing’ for you. As I drag the small thing, open am, wetin I see inside Anyara (Garden eggs). I said this Peter ehh! Na Anyara (Garden eggs) and Kola na him full the bag”
