Hilda Baci receives second Guinness plaque for world’s largest jollof rice pot

Guinness World Records has confirmed Nigerian chef, Hilda Baci, as the holder of a new title for cooking the world’s largest pot of jollof rice.

The confirmation followed her successful cookout held in Lagos in September, where she and her team prepared 8,780 kilograms (19,356 pounds) of the popular dish.

The plaque presented to her marks her second global recognition from the record body. Her first came in May 2023 after completing a 93-hour, 11-minute cooking marathon that gained worldwide attention.

With the latest addition, Baci becomes the first Nigerian chef to hold two Guinness World Record titles, a feat that further solidifies her status in the culinary industry.
