According to the MC, who narrated the experience, the bridesmaids travelled from a polytechnic in Delta State to attend their friend’s wedding. They arrived a day before to celebrate the bride’s shower and participated actively in the event.

However, after the ceremony ended around 7 p.m., the groom reportedly ordered everyone to vacate the hotel, insisting he would not extend their stay for another night.

I was shocked. The groom was shouting that he wouldn’t pay for the rooms again,” the MC recounted. “How do you expect young ladies who travelled that far to return to Delta State by 7 p.m., knowing how unsafe Nigerian roads are?”
