Music producer Samklef has stirred up fresh controversy over the circumstances surrounding the late singer Mohbad’s death, this time directing his criticism at social media activist VeryDarkMan (VDM) for allegedly changing his stance on the case.

In a recent post, Samklef shared a throwback clip of VDM passionately calling for the cancellation of Naira Marley and the entire Marlian Records, holding them accountable for Mohbad’s untimely passing. However, he noted that the activist now appears to have made a complete U-turn, absolving the Marlian camp of any blame.

Samklef questioned VDM’s sudden shift, alleging that financial influence was behind the change. He claimed the turning point came after VDM reportedly received ₦1 million from popular entertainer Tunde Ednut. According to Samklef, this marked the beginning of the activist’s softer stance, which now distances Naira Marley and Sam Larry from the controversy.
He went further to accuse Tunde Ednut of allegedly working behind the scenes to protect the Marlian crew, suggesting that there is an intentional effort to reshape public perception about Mohbad’s death.

While Samklef did not provide concrete proof to support his claims, he hinted that more revelations would follow. He concluded by criticizing VDM, saying that the activist, once a vocal critic of the Marlian camp, has now “dined with darkness.”
