American singer, R. Kelly reportedly hospitalized after a suspected overdose at the Butner Federal Correctional Complex in North Carolina.

According to reports, R. Kelly collapsed in his prison cell on June 13, 2025 after receiving a large dose of medication which his lawyer, Beau B. Brindley, claims could have been fatal, causing dizziness and vision loss.
He was rushed to Duke University Hospital, where doctors discovered blood clots in his legs and lungs.

This incident follows two days after Kelly’s team accused prison officials of plotting against him.

Meanwhile Kelly has been returned to solitary confinement, where his lawyer claims he faces inhumane conditions.
These conditions include a spider-infested cell, no access to phone calls or commissary food, and fears of poisoning.
