Uriel Oputa offers to raise abandoned baby found in Kogi State

Former Big Brother Naija housemate Uriel Oputa is receiving widespread praise from Nigerians after she offered to adopt a baby girl who was found abandoned by a riverside in Kogi State.

According to a viral video, the infant was discovered crying near the Niger Bridge in the Ajaokuta area by a local community leader. The man was drawn to the scene by the baby’s cries and was shocked to find her alone, wrapped in baby clothes and a wrapper, with a few other personal items nearby.

Omera Ugbede Opaluwa, a resident of the area who posted the video online, confirmed that the child was rescued and is currently being cared for by community members while they await further action from local authorities.

Reacting to the heartbreaking news in the comment section of a popular blog, Uriel Oputa made an emotional appeal to be given custody of the child. She vowed to give the baby a loving home and ensure she never suffered.

“Pls let me have her. She will never go hungry,” Uriel wrote.

Her comment has since gone viral, with netizens showering her with praise for her compassionate gesture.
