Portable mocks Speed Darlington ahead of fight, invites Burna Boy, mother

Nigerian street-hop star Portable has begun rigorous training ahead of his much-anticipated boxing match against fellow artist Speed Darlington amid rising tensions between the two musicians.

It would be recalled that their rivalry began when Speed Darlington invited Portable to perform at his April concert, but disagreements over performance fees quickly escalated into online insults and a public challenge to fight.

In a recently shared video, Portable was seen at a gym, engaged in intense self-training ahead of an announced boxing match.

Declaring his strength and experience, he boasted about his street background, calling himself ‘Ajepako’ (a street-raised hustler) while mocking Speed Darlington as ‘Omo Butty’ (a privileged kid).

Portable also made a bold invitation to Burna Boy and his mother, urging them to attend the fight. He accused Speed Darlington of disrespecting him and wanted Burna Boy to witness his victory firsthand.

“I have trained many people before; I will train myself. I’m from the streets. I am ready. Let Speed Darlington run before it’s too late! Uncle Burna Boy, I want to beat Speed Darlington; I hear say he no dey loyal to you. Please come and watch the match, help me bring mummy,” he stated.

He warned his opponent to reconsider participating, promising a brutal defeat for underestimating him.

Now, with Portable actively preparing for the showdown, fans are eager to see if Speed Darlington will match his energy or back out of the fight.
