Peller breaks silence after losing massive followers over 30-day rant challenge comment

Nigerian TikTok star Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller, has spoken out following the backlash he received over his comments on the viral ‘30 Days Rant Challenge’. 

His remarks triggered outrage, leading to a significant drop in his follower count across social media platforms.

Peller had previously advised Nigerians to avoid using TikTok for the challenge, warning that such actions could prompt the government to ban the platform.

He suggested alternative avenues for expressing grievances, such as Instagram or physical protests, to prevent any potential restrictions on TikTok in Nigeria.

However, his stance did not sit well with many netizens, resulting in a mass unfollowing.

Peller revealed in an interview with TVC that he lost nearly 500,000 followers on TikTok and 400,000 on Instagram after making his comments. 

Addressing the controversy in a new video, Peller clarified that he was not against the challenge but was only concerned about the potential consequences.

He stated that he had no influence over government decisions and was simply an ordinary citizen.
