“I am not a Yoruba man” – Labour Party’s Anthony Chinasa-Abiola clarifies following win in Abia (Video)

The Labour Party candidate Anthony Chinasa-Abiola, who was elected to the Abia state House of Assembly, has denied claims that he is of Yoruba ethnicity.

Because of the “Abiola” in his name, there have been rumors that Chinasa-Abiola, who won the election to represent Umuahia Central Constituency at the Abia State House of Assembly, is a Yoruba man.

He has now made it clear that he is not of the Yoruba ethnic group in an interview with TVC.

He claims that he changed his identity to Abiola in order to support Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, the Labour Party’s candidate for governor of Lagos.

According to him, the name Abiola is merely a “nickname” or “guy name” he adopts.
