An image of a Virgin Mary statue bleeding from the eye was shared by Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Ehioma, aka Fada Mentor, who claimed to have heard of the incident at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church Agodo Egbe in Lagos.

His post went viral right away and sparked a controversy, with many criticizing him and informing him that such act is impossible.

He revealed in a subsequent post that the Catholic Church will look into such incidents first because the Church does not accept anything without examination.

He continued by saying that this was done to prevent hoaxes, as there had been in the past.
But he cautioned critics to respect different perspectives when doing so.
