After nine months of marriage, Jasmine Okafor, the daughter of Nollywood legend John Okafor aka Mr. Ibu, and her British husband have ended their relationship.

In the early hours of November 14, 2022, she announced it in an Instagram post.

Mr. Ibu’s adopted daughter Jasmine met her husband, simply known as MD, on TikTok.

The entrepreneur charged him with concealing information about his previous marriage and children, saying she could no longer remain in a relationship based on deceit.

The young lady claims that the boy’s mother told him the truth, and she has now requested a divorce.

She wrote: “This was the best 9 months of my life! I have no regrets whatsoever! I just won’t settle for a lie regardless! I forgive easily, I remember asking you about this severally before we started! Finding out today from your mum, really broke me! A foundation built upon a tiny lie won’t stand! I love how you loved me! But hate how you never mentioned your divorce nor kids to me! Moving on I don’t think I want anybody else! Just gonna love you from a distance!”
