Police arrest Davido’s domestic staff over his son’s death

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested members of Davido’s domestic staff following the death of his son, Ifeanyi Adeleke.

The State Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed that they are currently in police custody.

It was reported earlier that Ifeanyi drowned in the swimming pool at Davido’s Banana Island mansion in Lagos.

In a bid to revive him, the three-year-old boy was reportedly rushed to a hospital in the Lekki area of the state, where he was confirmed dead by one of the doctors on duty.

Hundeyin told DAILY POST that preliminary investigation is ongoing to unravel what led to the boy’s death.

He said, “Domestic staff at Davido’a home have been taken to the station to give their own account of what happened. I wouldn’t call that arrest yet.

If after they all give their own account of what happened and after preliminary investigations, if anyone of them is found culpable, the person will now be placed under arrest”.

A source had earlier said;“About nine people have been arrested for negligence, including his nanny and their cook. Chioma is broken. David is in tears.
